FOX Television Stations is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead national sales strategy and revenue growth across our Phoenix and San Francisco station groups. Based in Phoenix, this role will work with leadership, national agencies, advertisers, and Account Executives to develop revenue opportunities across broadcast, digital, streaming, sports, political, sponsorship, and other platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on sales leader with experience in media pricing, inventory, transactional business, client development, and cross-platform advertising.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager will drive national sales performance across four FOX-owned television stations in the Phoenix and San Francisco markets. The role combines sales leadership, client development, revenue strategy, Account Executive coaching, forecasting, and day-to-day sales support.

Key Responsibilities

  • National Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies designed to achieve or exceed revenue goals across the Phoenix and San Francisco station groups.

  • Client & Agency Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with national agencies, advertisers, and other business partners. Position FOX assets as effective solutions for advertiser objectives

  • Sales Execution: Collaborate with leadership on pricing, inventory management, packaging, and revenue optimization in a high-volume, transactional sales environment.

  • Cross-Platform Revenue: Identify and grow opportunities across broadcast, digital, streaming, sports, political advertising, sponsorships, special programming, and other integrated solutions.

  • Sports Revenue: Maximize revenue opportunities surrounding premium FOX sports programming with sponsorships, integrated packages and innovative advertiser solutions.

  • Sales Leadership: Coach, support, and develop Account Executives while promoting a positive, collaborative, and accountable sales culture.

  • Forecasting & Analytics: Support forecasting, pipeline management, performance reporting, and revenue analysis to inform business decisions and identify opportunities.

  • Political Advertising: Oversee political advertising activity for the Phoenix stations in accordance with FCC requirements and internal procedures.

  • Collaboration and Operations: Partner with traffic, research, finance, marketing, and other departments to support effective campaign execution and client service.

Experience & Education

  • Five or more years of experience in broadcast, digital, or related media sales.

  • Previous sales leadership or senior Account Executive experience preferred.

  • Experience with national agencies, advertisers, pricing, inventory management, and forecasting.

  • Experience developing digital or cross-platform advertising solutions.

  • Knowledge of political advertising or sports sales is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Sales Leadership

  • Effectively lead, coach, and motivate sales professionals while maintaining accountability for results.

  • Strong understanding of media sales, pricing, inventory management, and revenue development.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, transactional sales environment.

  • Strong organizational, forecasting, and analytical skills.

Communication & Negotiation

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to develop long-term relationships and close complex, high-value business.

Technical Proficiency

  • Familiarity with broadcast sales systems and digital advertising platforms.

  • Ability to use performance data and reporting to support sales decisions.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $210,000.00-220,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
