Job description

KETV, the ABC affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska, is looking for an enthusiastic, analytical, and creative National Sales Manager who is up to the challenge of selling across multiple platforms. You will lead the national sales team to exceed revenue goals and collaborate with the Sales Management team to drive new business and digital revenue growth. Client engagement is a top priority. You should manage multiple challenges simultaneously and be excellent at broadcast and digital sales negotiation. Hearst Television provides the best multi-platform products, a talented team, and excellent compensation. You will report to the General Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to achieve national sales goals across television and digital.
  • Work with the Local Sales Manager, Digital Sales Manager and General Sales Manager to foster a positive sales environment.
  • Negotiate all national and assigned regional business and work with the national sales assistant to manage pre-empts, process orders and on time payment of invoices.
  • Lead the station's political sales efforts, including tracking of payments, fulfillment of public file posting responsibilities, and creation of political pricing guidelines along with the General Sales Manager.ย 
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts for all national and assigned regional accounts.
  • Meet with agency buyers, planners, and media directors to build relationships and create television and digital revenue growth opportunities.
  • Support the Local team to help build account share or leverage client relationships.ย 
  • Achieve or exceed the national revenue budget.
  • Work with the General Sales Manager on inventory management and pricing, and reporting and forecasting.ย 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' television and digital sales experience.
  • Have experience with Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales.
  • Understand how to build internal and external relationships.
  • Have an acute understanding of how to forecast future revenue.
  • Have the creativity to develop targeted, customer-focused marketing solutions using multiple media products including television, and digital.
  • Take full ownership of national budgets and revenue goals and always develop strategies to overachieve.
  • Proficient creating multi-platform packages, sponsorships, and sales presentations.ย 
  • Have a strong understanding of how to price and manage inventory.
  • Availability for domestic travel to build strong relations with agency and client contacts.ย 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile.
  • Related military experience will be considered.ย
