Job description

Position Summary:

Shift Electrician Level 1 is responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within a textile manufacturing environment. This entry-level role works under the guidance of senior electricians while developing technical skills to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and plant equipment
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical issues on production equipment (warping, knitting machines, coating lines, etc.)
  • Knowledge in 3 phase with some experience.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities, including inspections and routine servicing
  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals
  • Replace or repair components such as motors, sensors, relays, switches, and wiring
  • Respond to maintenance calls and assist in minimizing equipment downtime
  • Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and tools
  • Accurately document work performed in maintenance systems or logs
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams across shifts

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  2. Stand on concrete floors for up to 10 hours per day
  3. Move through the entire facility, including roof and grounds
  4. Use ladders and man-lifts/baskets when necessary for the job

Candidates must be able to work assigned shift and workdays to include overtime and weekends when scheduled.
