2nd shift, Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm
3rd shift, Sun-Thurs 11pm-7am
The Finishing Operator plays a critical role in our textile production line, ensuring that our fabrics receive the perfect finish as per customer specifications. You will unload pallets of fabric from the dyehouse, apply chemical finishes and guide the fabric through a heated drying process. Collaborating with R&D and quality teams, you'll track specifications and production goals, contributing to smooth and efficient operations. This role demands attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities:
  • Unload pallets of fabric from the dyehouse and prepare them for finishing.
  • Operate the frame, applying chemical finishes to the fabric as specified by customer requirements.
  • Complete any required testing or verification per SOP.
  • Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to ensure high-quality output.
  • Monitor and maintain production goals, ensuring the correct number of yards are processed per day.
  • Ensure equipment component functionality.
  • Maintain proper documentation within computer systems.
  • Physically mix and dump chemicals into the tank according to directions.
  • Document rolls with proper labeling.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following safety protocols and utilizing required PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with team members across all shifts to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills for mixing chemicals and calculating production metrics.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and communication.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a loud and hot environment, handling wet materials.
  • Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or factory environment is preferred.
