Job description

Texell Credit Union, named one of the best credit unions to work for in the nation by the Credit Union Journal, is seeking a Developer I to join our Software Development team.

Texell Credit Union is looking for a full-stack Developer to join our Software Development team. The Developer will be responsible for leading development efforts including working with both front-end and back-end coding, project planning, code review, and quality control. 

As a Developer I, you will:

  • Develop code primarily in Power-On, which is a programming language used by hundreds of Credit Unions, for which training will be provided.
  • Program in other object-oriented languages such as C# will progressively increase as new technologies are adopted.
  • Participate in software development efforts including project planning, writing specifications, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Create documentation for development projects to include project plans, work breakdown structure, procedures, and test scripts.
  • Meet with end-users to define business objectives and system requirements for new projects.

We need you to have:

  • One or more years’ experience in other modern object-oriented language such as ASP.NET Core is acceptable.
  • Experience with AGILE development methodology, preferably SCRUM.
  • The ability to learn and apply new technical concepts quickly and independently.
  • A strong understanding of object-oriented design.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
