Job description

UAT Project Manager - Finance Systems - Contract - On-site (Santa Clara, CA)
We are seeking an experienced UAT Project Manager to lead business-side User Acceptance Testing for enterprise finance transformation initiatives. This role sits within a PMO-driven environment and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing UAT across cross-functional teams to ensure finance systems are fully validated before release.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and drive end-to-end UAT planning and execution for finance and ERP applications on the business side. Must have experience with Finance applications on the business side. SAP is preferred
• Define and enforce UAT strategy, governance, timelines, and entrance/exit criteria
• Coordinate business testers, manage UAT schedules, kickoff sessions, and daily execution tracking
• Lead hands-on UAT execution using Jira Xray, including test planning, test execution, defect tracking, dashboards, and reporting on the business side. Must have experience with X-ray
• Partner with finance stakeholders to define real-world business validation scenarios aligned to ERP processes (O2C, Q2C, record-to-report, etc.)
• Track defects, manage escalations, and support go/no-go readiness decisions
• Act as the primary point of contact between business, IT-PM, QA, and PMO for all UAT activities
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement of UAT processes and standards
Required Qualifications:
• 5-7+ years of experience in UAT, test coordination, or project/program management for enterprise systems
• Strong UAT experience on the business side for ERP or finance applications.
• Hands-on experience with Jira Xray is a must-have (test planning, execution, reporting, and traceability)
• Must have experience with Finance applications on the business side. SAP is preferred
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and drive UAT execution to completion
• Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills
Nice to Have
• Experience supporting SAP implementations or finance system transformations
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
• PMP, CAPM, or similar certification
