Job description

About the Role 

Conduent is seeking a Release Manager to develop and maintain release schedules to track scheduled deployments, maintenance windows, dependencies, and risks

This position is contingent upon the award of a government contract. Recruiting and interviewing activities may occur prior to contract award; however, employment and start dates are subject to contract award, funding, customer approval requirements, and/or satisfaction of any applicable pre-employment conditions.

General Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain release schedules to track scheduled deployments, maintenance windows, dependencies, and risks

  • Obtain Agency approvals before any functionality is released to environments

  • Align release management processes with ITIL 4 best practices focusing on efficiency, automation, and service value delivery

  • Participate in ECCB and ECAB to coordinate release activities with the Agency and Modules to ensure interoperability between systems

  • Establish a structured release process that aligns with Medicaid governance policies

  • Maintain a Release Listing Document that tracks all planned, in progress, and completed releases

  • Coordinate with development, QA, operations and business teams

  • Define release scope, objectives, and timelines

  • Oversee the release deployment process, ensuring all pre-release steps are complete (i.e., testing production validation)

  • Develop and enforce rollback plans and contingency strategies in case of release failures

  • Ensure smooth transitions between development, testing, and production environments

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all release related activity4

  • Develop reports providing visibility into timelines, status, and quality of releases

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of work experience managing New Product releases or related experience

  • Two (2) years of work with Change Management, Incidents, and CAB processes and procedures

  • Working knowledge of deployment strategies and executing release windows and cycles

  • Working knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations, software development lifecycle, and ITIL Release Management Methodology

  • Working knowledge of Risk Management and Mitigation

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $96,250 - $125,000.
