PRN Allergy Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Allergy & ENT Associates – Houston, TX

Position Summary

Allergy & ENT Associates is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support our growing Houston-area clinics. This position is ideal for a provider who enjoys a collaborative practice environment and is looking for a flexible schedule while delivering high-quality patient care.

We are seeking candidates with allergy and immunology experience; however, we also welcome experienced Primary Care and Urgent Care providers who are eager to learn allergy medicine. We provide mentorship and training for motivated clinicians who are passionate about expanding their clinical skill set.

Schedule
  • PRN/Part-Time

  • Flexible schedule based on clinic needs

  • Monday availability preferred

  • Opportunity to cover provider PTO, vacations, and increased patient volume

  • Potential to grow into additional shifts as practice needs expand

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with allergic and immunologic conditions.

  • Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.

  • Diagnose and manage:

    • Seasonal and perennial allergies

    • Asthma

    • Allergic rhinitis

    • Sinus complaints

    • Food and medication allergies

    • Eczema and related allergic skin conditions

  • Develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.

  • Interpret allergy testing and diagnostic studies.

  • Educate patients on allergy avoidance, medications, and long-term disease management.

  • Collaborate closely with Allergists, ENT physicians, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.

  • Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.

  • Maintain high-quality, patient-centered care while managing an efficient clinic schedule.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.

  • DEA license (or ability to obtain).

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred

  • Previous Allergy & Immunology experience.

  • Experience administering or managing allergy immunotherapy.

  • Experience with allergy testing and interpretation.
