Job description

Electrical Power Technician:

Experience working within the commercial and/or industrial electrical contracting industry as a maintenance electrician preferred. Knowledge of the various nondestructive testing techniques including Infrared Thermographic Imaging, Ultrasonic testing and Power quality analysis is helpful. Customer service skills are necessary as is the ability to follow specific protocols and procedures when working with energized electrical distribution systems. Computer skills and the ability to use a laptop PC as well as all associated software required. Additional desired skills include:

  • Use of Fluke 1750/43B & Power Quality Metering
  • Overpotential DC Testing
  • VLF Testing
  • General knowledge of electrical apparatus up tp 35Kv
  • General knowledge of relays
  • MV Terminations & Splicing
