Job Purpose & Scope

This position be responsible for the testing of a select portfolio of business-critical applications, including the creation, oversight, and execution of test plans to enhance application reliability and data accuracy.  This role will collaborate with both business and technology teams to bring innovation while supporting application change management processes.


Essential Job Functions
  1. Design, develop, and maintain application test plan and test cases following testing standards and best practices.
  2. Analyze business requirements and identify testing needs, both functional and regression.
  3. Execute test plan and test cases and communicate testing results with project team. Follow up on outstanding issues and manage defect creation, tracking and resolution. 
  4. Maintain all forms documentation related to application testing to support software or data development lifecycle. 
  5. Collaborate with business stakeholders and develop thorough knowledge of test plan business processes.
  6. Perform work responsibilities with acute attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  7. Ensure compliance with Bank OZK and internal/external regulatory policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  1. Knowledge of application testing strategies and understanding of best practices to test business user and operations focused applications.
  2. Knowledge and experience in creating effective test cases for functional and regression testing.  

  3. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies including Agile. 

  4. Knowledge and understanding of the commercial lending and real estate lending lifecycle.

  5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills.

  6. Ability to demonstrate effective organizational and troubleshooting skills.

  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment delivering quality work on time. 

  8. Ability to work collaboratively in a continually changing environment.

  9. Ability to maintain a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times.

  10. Ability to form and manage trustful and productive relationships.

  11. Ability to think critically and develop strategy. 

  12. Ability to maintain professional composure and execute under pressure.


Basic Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field, preferably in information technology or computer science, or commensurate work experience, required.

  2. 2+ years of hands-on experience in software application testing, required.

  3. Experience in testing API based integrations and cloud-based applications, preferred.

  4. Experience using DB tools and writing SQL queries, preferred.

  5. Experience with one or more databases like PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, preferred.
