Columbia Eye Associates is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician / Medical Assistant to join our team in Columbia, MD.

We are open to hiring either an experienced technician or the right person with a strong work ethic, great people skills, and the ability to learn quickly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, staying busy, and being part of a supportive team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for the doctor

• Collect patient history and update records accurately

• Perform pre-testing and other basic diagnostic testing • Assist with patient flow throughout the day

• Support both clinical and front office needs as needed

• Help create a warm, professional, and efficient patient experience

Qualifications:

• Friendly, professional, and dependable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or a medical office is preferred, but not required for the right candidate

Training:

We are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated, learns quickly, and is ready to be an active part of the team.

Schedule:

Full-time hours. Monday through Friday. Daytime schedule only.
