Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed test plans for complex computer applications.
  • Review user requirements and resolve discrepancies, clarifying processes.
  • Write and edit detailed test cases based on business user requirements and functional specifications.
  • Employ automated testing tools to perform functionality testing, including functional, regression, and system tests to ensure products work as expected.
  • Mentor other team members in the use of automated functionality testing tools.
  • Assist in conducting and coordinating all phases of testing.
  • Assist functional users in User Acceptance Testing and help verify test results.
  • Document expected and actual test results, recording bugs using an automated bug-tracking tool.
  • Identify issues resulting from testing and coordinate resolution.
  • Document test status, outcomes, and metrics.
  • Assist with coordination and verification of various levels of signโ€‘off.
  • Attend work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
  • Comply with all applicable agency policies and procedures, including safety and standards of conduct.
  • Perform onโ€‘call or scheduled afterโ€‘hours work as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager of quality control.
  • Attend meetings and calls regularly and punctually.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited fourโ€‘year college or university. Each year of related experience over the required may be substituted for one year (30 semester hours) of required college credit.
  • 7+ years of experience in progressively demanding quality assurance processes and techniques over the full software lifecycle, including implementation, upgrade, and maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience testing PeopleSoft Pension, Benefits Administration, and Financials.
  • 4+ years of experience testing SharePoint/K2.
  • 4+ years of experience testing .NET.
  • 4+ years of experience in functional testing using HP QuickTest Professional (QTP)/Unified Functional Testing (UFT) tools.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL to create queries.
  • Proficient in the use of VBScript.
  • Understanding of Information Security and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the quality assurance process and techniques over the full software lifecycle.
  • Must be proficient in the use of automated functionality testing tools.
  • Ability to perform testing in large, highly integrated systems.
  • Must possess sound analysis and documentation skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to work with all aspects of the IT organization, functional users, and management.
  • Must be capable of attaining and sustaining the cooperation of other personnel within the agency.
