Company Description
The Six String Grill offers a full bar and exceptional burgers, salads, steaks and desserts. Our current dessert menu consists of mostly original items and recipes including Key Lime Pie, Espresso Cream Cake and Cheesecake. We are looking to expand our dessert menu and feature signature seasonal pies, cakes and other desserts on a monthly basis. We have designed a masterful menu that appeals to both the distinguished foodie as well as the bar and grill patron.
The Six String is the restaurant at Hill Country Golf & Guitar, the only destination restaurant of its kind featuring a premium mini-golf experience under a roaring waterfall and live music. Hill Country Golf & Guitar and the Six String Grill is an authentic place for the community of greater Austin to come together and create memories through fun, food and music.
Job Description
  • Directs and oversees the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen(s), including menu development, inventory and purchasing of supplies, and cost control.
  • May be responsible for the creation of dessert menus to maximize profits and minimize loss.
  • Tests and develops recipes.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction.
  • Requires an understanding of federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations.
  • Proactive in reducing waste
  • Ability to help produce desserts for a restaurant serving 8,000 patrons a month
  • 24 to 32 hours a week
  • Flexible hours

Qualifications
  • Creativity and knowledge of how to create new concepts in pies and cakes
