Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Kitchen Manager at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: $55,000/annually; can increase based on experience.

What you will do: In this role, you will be primarily responsible for providing high-quality food and excellent service to every Rite of Passage student, employee, and customer. You will ensure compliance with all National School Lunch Program (NSLP) requirements and enforce established guidelines with the kitchen staff. Additional responsibilities include reviewing menus, preparing and submitting food orders, maintaining kitchen food and supply inventory, ensuring kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards are met, and training and supervising kitchen staff. Depending on the location, you will report directly to the Program Manager.

To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Have a current ServSafe certificate. ~ Prior experience in a kitchen setting is required  ~Have at least two years of experience supervising 3 or more employees.  ~Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ must have a clean driving record as well as an active driver’s license.

Schedule:  Full-Time

Shift: Monday-Friday (may vary depending on need of the site)
