Job description

Overview

Senior Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering at Oura. This role leads the Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) team within the Supply Chain to develop and integrate production test systems in collaboration with R&D FW/HW teams and test system suppliers. You will drive development and integration from specifications through proto builds to mass production yield and fault management, guiding the team to bring Oura products into mass production.

What you will do
  • Lead and manage a regional team of 5-10 Manufacturing Test Engineers and collaborate with a global team.
  • Collaborate with FW and HW design teams to specify, plan, and develop testability features, ensure relevant test coverage, and define production test plans.
  • Coordinate with test system suppliers for systems and fixtures.
  • Drive Product HW, Product FW, Test HW, and Test SW integration to form a holistic project approach.
  • Own the Test SW verification and release process.
  • Coach the team in test data statistical analysis to preset test capability and perform fault analysis.
  • Provide visibility for test performance at each integration and proto build step.
  • Allocate support for prototype builds and mass production.
  • Coordinate with contract manufacturers in NPI collaboration.
  • Drive global test strategy, maintain high test coverage, and aim for zero quality leaks to customers.
  • Coach the team in measurement system capability, process capability analysis, and other statistical tools with data-driven verification.
  • Improve documentation of test processes and test flows for relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Leadership experience in team and project management in the industry.
  • Proven track record in HW/SW integration project management.
  • Systematic and organized work style; ability to identify and set priorities.
  • Experience in test development, test SW tools, and processes in electronics mass production.
  • Strong understanding of Python and test executables such as NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
  • Experience with SW management systems and statistical process control tools.
  • Experience with product HW test and measurement systems and methods.
  • Ability to read and understand HW block diagrams and schematics.
  • Technical background ( MSc/BS ) with 8+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work with external interfaces and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel.
