The Company's portfolio of core technology and products offer unique capabilities in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security as well as remote sensing applications.
Position Description
We are seeking a Test Engineer to enhance our test engineering capability within the manufacturing engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the troubleshooting and stabilization of critical production test systems, the design and implementation of test stations, and the transfer of NPI/development test methods to manufacturing. The Test Engineer will provide technical knowledge for both the hardware and software aspects of test for optoelectronic, fiber optic, RF, and electronic assemblies.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Development Engineers, Manufacturing Engineering, and Product Line Managers to design and produce solutions to match the high demands of customer requirements.
  • Design and develop test methods, processes, and hardware for optoelectronic packages, modules and subassemblies.
  • Identify, design, develop and procure interfaces and/or specialized equipment required for the testing of optoelectronic packages and subassemblies.
  • Assemble, integrate and commission test hardware, software, fixtures and equipment.
  • Advise and support manufacturing engineering with the implementation and auditing of gauge R&R and SPC procedures to ensure test reliability and consistency.
  • Conduct necessary qualification of test hardware and software using industry standard methods and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for established test methods and train personnel against these.
  • The position may require limited domestic and international travel.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject such as computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, electronics or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant practical experience of product functional test development and hardware integration with software.
  • 2+ years of experience implanting test solutions into a Manufacturing environment.
  • A good working knowledge of fiber optic component testing at the system and component level.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Python, LabView, and other test software protocols.
  • A good working knowledge of product testing and interacting with test hardware.
  • Developing test systems for ease of use and volume production.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
