  • 40 hours/week, 7 Month Assignment

A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Test Engineer to modernize and support automated manufacturing test systems by converting legacy test applications into C# within the company's test platform.

Test Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, reverse-engineer, convert, validate, and deploy legacy manufacturing, PCBA, module, instrument, and calibration test applications into C# on the company's test platform while preserving test sequences, measurement methods, calibration requirements, limits, and pass/fail criteria.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software interfaces for electronic test equipment using SCPI, VISA, and other hardware communication protocols, and diagnose software, instrumentation, communications, DUT, fixture, and test interface issues.
  • Perform regression testing and system validation to ensure functional equivalence between legacy and converted applications while supporting manufacturing test and calibration processes.
  • Develop reusable C# components, maintain source code and version control, create technical documentation and test instructions, and support software deployment and knowledge transfer to Manufacturing and Test Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues, improve automated test solutions, and support ongoing production and manufacturing test operations.

Test Engineer Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing software for automated electronic hardware testing, preferably within manufacturing or calibration environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, OR
  • Equivalent combinations of education and significant automated test/software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and Microsoft .NET development.
  • Experience developing automated electronic test applications and controlling electronic test equipment.
  • Experience with SCPI, VISA, and hardware communication interfaces.
  • Experience using Git or other source control systems.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across software, hardware, communications, instrumentation, fixtures, and DUT interfaces.
  • Experience with C++, Visual Basic 5/6, LabVIEW, and/or Python.
  • Ability to reverse-engineer and migrate legacy automated test applications while maintaining functional equivalence.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment, manufacturing test systems, PCBA testing, module testing, calibration processes, and technical documentation.
  • Preferred experience in:
    • ISO/IEC 17025 testing or calibration environments.
    • Keysight, Agilent, or HP electronic test equipment.
    • Keysight Gondor test platform.
    • RF, telecommunications, or networking products.
    • TCP/IP, GPIB, USB, and serial communications.
