They typically assist with tasks such as item writing, test formatting, proofreading, and maintaining databases of test questions. Their work ensures that exams are accurate, fair, and effectively measure the intended knowledge or skills. They may also help with data entry, preparing test materials, and coordinating logistics for test administration. Test Development Assistants often work under the supervision of test developers or psychometricians in educational institutions, certification boards, or testing organizations.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills help you collaborate with stakeholders and manage multiple projects efficiently. These skills ensure the accuracy, fairness, and timely delivery of assessment materials essential for educational or certification programs.

What are the main challenges test development assistants face when coordinating with subject matter experts?

Test Development Assistants often work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create accurate and relevant assessment materials.
