Job Description

EBAD seeks a Test Technician, reporting to the Value Stream manager. This is a day shift position is in the Moorpark, California facility.

Responsibilities

The Test Technician position supports the testing of development and production products. Many of these products are explosive or energetic in nature. Duties include:

Test evaluation, set-up, and performance.

Assist in test development.

Maintaining test equipment.

Test data reporting

Maintaining accurate accountability and inventories of materials

Primary responsibility will be the evaluation, set-up and performance of destructive and non-destructive testing. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD's and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting, working outdoors, occasional travel, and overtime may be required.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma (Associate Degree in Engineering or related field preferred).

Candidates must be able to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization and with customers. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and communication skills are required. Candidates must be able to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications. Knowledge of explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is needed. Experience working in a defense or aerospace industry is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in a test lab environment with exposure to several of the following areas:

Testing

  • Test evaluation, set-up and performance
  • Perform No Fire testing on energetic devices to verify conformance to specified requirements
  • Perform All Fire testing on energetic devices to verify conformance to specified requirements.
  • Perform Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) testing on energetic devices.
  • Support and perform various testing operations as needed Analyze data and documents results in laboratory systems and test reports

Instrumentation

  • Power Supplies / Sourcemeters
  • Pressure Transducers / Accelerometers
  • Temperature Chambers

Compensation:

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
