What's in it for you:
As a Controls Engineer supporting the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod, you will play a key role in the engineering activities that support sales order processing and execution for one of our important data center product platforms. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and support customer-focused engineering execution from bid support through manufacturing release and field issue resolution.
You will contribute to job bidding, submittal generation, BOM development, model generation, controls design execution, sequence support, production support, customer witness testing support, and field support. This position offers broad exposure across the order execution lifecycle and the opportunity to influence product quality, functionality, responsiveness, and continuous improvement through practical controls solutions and ongoing design enhancements.
What you will do:
  • Support controls engineering activities for the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod.
  • Support job processing activities, including bid support, submittals, order release, BOM development, and model generation.
  • Develop and support controls design content, controls integration requirements, and sequence-related documentation for customer orders.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and design resources to ensure controls requirements are accurately reflected in product documentation.
  • Provide technical support for production and field issues related to controls functionality and integration.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving efforts to improve product quality and reliability.
  • Support engineering changes, documentation updates, and standardization efforts related to controls design.
  • Contribute to product and process improvements that enhance performance, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to apply DFM principles to controls designs to improve quality, safety, and integration efficiency during assembly.
  • Partner with lab engineers to ensure customer witness test readiness and verify controls functionality and sequence performance.
  • Support root cause analysis and resolution of controls-related quality and field issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, manufacturing, and product management to support order execution and business goals.
  • Support year-over-year cost and margin improvement initiatives.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field required.
  • Three years of experience in controls engineering, product engineering, or applied system design preferred.
  • Experience supporting HVAC controls, electrical integration, or related engineered systems preferred.
  • Understanding of controls architectures, sequences of operation, component integration, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced execution environment. Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Experience in HVAC, air handling equipment, or related engineered product environments preferred. Proficiency with standard engineering and business software tools.
