Job description

Job Summary:
Tesla is a leading company in the automotive and energy sectors, and they are seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst to support their Supply Chain department. The role involves building tools and dashboards for supply chain visibility, automating workflows, and analyzing large datasets to provide actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain tools, dashboards, and platforms that provide end-to-end visibility into supply and demand planning across multiple tiers of the supply chain
• Design and run supply simulations to identify gating supply chains, forecast risk, and support proactive decision-making by planning, SCPM, and GSM teams
• Automate daily operational workflows to eliminate manual processes and drive operational excellence across Material Planning, GSM, and Component GSM teams
• Query and analyze large-scale datasets using SQL to uncover supply chain trends, exceptions, and actionable insights
• Develop Python-based automation scripts and data processing pipelines for data extraction, transformation, reporting, and simulation modeling
• Support leadership with dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, supply risk assessments, and quarterly operational summaries
• Independently manage multiple analytical projects, platform builds, and data support requests, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met
Qualifications:
Required:
• Degree in quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Business Analytics) or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability with 4+ years of work experience in supply chain analytics, demand/supply planning, or a related analytical role
• Strong proficiency in querying large datasets using SQL
• Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and pipeline development (e.g., pandas, NumPy)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, run simulations, and present findings clearly and concisely
• A collaborative, flexible, and open working style with the ability to build trust and credibility across planning, GSM, and systems teams
• Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or similar
