What to Expect The Mobile team in our Vehicle Software org is looking for a highly motivated engineer specializing in creating exceptional user-facing features for our millions of customers. This team owns the Tesla Mobile App, which is a central piece of the Tesla ownership experience. In addition to being the key to one's car, it allows customers to Summon, control the climate, plan trips, stream sentry cam videos, and activate all manner of convenience, security, andcustomer delight. They are developingthe core Robotaxi experience that will revolutionize autonomous transport.

You will buildfeatures that enhance the customer experience end to end, shipping to millions of Tesla owners on a regular basis.Collaborating with our design team, firmware engineers,vehicle UI and back-end developers, you will have extreme ownership - designing architecture, writing correct, robust code, maintaining and improving existing functionality, and shipping brand new features. Our team strives to deliver the bestpossible mobile experience for the vehicle. We want to work with people who are excited by this goal and have the talent to deliver on it.

What You'll Do
  • Design, code, debug and own features from concept to release for both iOS and Android

  • Optimize code for performance, stability, and maintainability
  • Develop engineering solutions based on first principles and insist on high standards
  • Work with a cross-functional team of hardware, vehicle software engineers, application/UI engineers, QA/Validation, and designers

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar areas of study, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Mobile (iOS/Android) development
  • Proficient in Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, or JavaFamiliar with Typescript or JavaScript. Experience with React/React Native is preferred
  • Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts, good at solving complex technical problems
  • Experience using common design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance
  • Experience creating, maintaining and shipping top-ranking mobile apps

Expected Compensation $104,000 - $366,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
