IT Construction Project Coordinator (On-Site) – Tesla via TEKsystems

Fremont, CA (45500 Fremont Blvd)

Full-time | 50 hrs/week (OT included)


Overview

TEKsystems is seeking experienced IT Construction Project Coordinators to support a high-profile infrastructure buildout at Tesla’s manufacturing facilities in Fremont and Lathrop, CA.

This role sits within Tesla’s IT construction team and plays a critical role in overseeing low voltage cabling execution, ensuring alignment with design, and driving vendor accountability across large-scale, active construction sites.

This is an opportunity to work on one of the most ambitious manufacturing expansions in the country, supporting Tesla’s Optimus production ramp.


What You’ll Do
  • Oversee low voltage vendor performance, including staffing, deliverables, timelines, and safety compliance
  • Interpret CAD drawings and ensure all work aligns with final design specifications
  • Conduct daily site walks and construction surveys across large-scale facilities
  • Monitor project progress and proactively escalate risks, delays, or resource gaps
  • Identify and report build conflicts, design clashes, and installation issues
  • Attend and contribute to daily/weekly construction and network coordination meetings
  • Track, document, and drive resolution of issues from start to completion
  • Partner with Network Project Managers to align on schedules and forecast needs
  • Ensure IT infrastructure work stays ahead of construction timelines
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships with low voltage contractors on-site

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT construction, data center, or manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with low voltage cabling systems
  • Strong experience in vendor management and oversight
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-change construction environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting timelines
  • Strong commitment to safety, PPE compliance, and EHS standards
  • Comfortable working on-site daily and walking large facilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $63.00/hr.
