Job description

Job Summary:
Tesla is at the forefront of connected innovation providing a suite of rich backend services to their growing fleets. They are seeking a highly motivated software engineer specialized in web services and distributed systems to build and scale the platform that connects Tesla and their customers to their vehicles and energy products.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs
• Improve UI/UX for our Authentication experiences
• Migrate systems to designs with improved maintainability and performance
• Build device-side software to manage security, connectivity, commands and telemetry
• Solve problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging
• Work closely with product, SRE and infrastructure teams
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of strong web development experience building highly-reliable, mission-critical software
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience
• Extensive experience with frontend and backend development, with frequent production releases
• Deep knowledge of best practices, information security, and API design principles
• Experience with React or equivalent
• Experience with gathering and building requirements from multiple stakeholders
Preferred:
• Go and Kubernetes a plus
