Job description

Position Overview:
This position will be based out of our Camarillo, CA location.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team, specializing in the installation and integration of Tesla Powerwall battery systems and Solar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential electrical work, with specific expertise in energy storage solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Installation of Tesla Powerwall systems: Install, test, and commission Tesla Powerwall home battery systems to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Electrical work: Perform general electrical tasks, including wiring, circuit breakers, grounding, and panel upgrades to accommodate the installation of Powerwall and other energy storage solutions.
  • System Integration: Work with customers to ensure seamless integration of Powerwall with solar panel systems, grid connections, and backup power configurations.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Solar and Tesla Powerwall installations.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installations meet local electrical codes, Tesla specifications, and safety standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to explain the installation process, answer questions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete and submit the necessary jobsite documentation, including safety reports, installation reports, and customer feedback.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on residential electrical systems and energy storage solutions. Previous experience with Tesla Powerwall installation preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, including inverters, solar panels, energy storage solutions, and battery-based backup systems.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers professionally.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring work is completed safely and to specifications.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions, lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), and work in confined spaces when needed.
  • REQUIRED: Valid General Electrician Certificate
  • REQUIRED: Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record for the last 3 years, and a minimum of 9 years of driving experience, in accordance with PB insurance parameters - no exceptions. Must be able to travel to job sites.

Pay for this position is $35-$44 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities may be available depending on seasonality and business needs.
This full-time role is eligible to participate in health (one plan is less than $25 per pay check!), dental, and vision insurance. Photon Brothers also offers a 401k with match, as well as company-sponsored life insurance and telehealth! Paid holidays and PTO are also offered with this position.
