About Recharged

Recharged is on a mission to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption with the first end-to-end e-commerce marketplace designed specifically for used EV buyers and sellers. Recharged is committed to making electric vehicles more accessible and affordable to consumers, while also serving dealers, fleets, and other companies navigating the transition to electric vehicles.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving inventory, beginning the inspection process, and helping manage the flow of inventory through reconditioning, including some vendor management.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with cars and is prepared to move at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial inspections on incoming used EVs, including cosmetic assessments.
  • Run initial tests to assess battery health, high-voltage systems, thermal management, charging systems, and EV-specific drivetrains.
  • Use OEM and aftermarket scan tools to identify fault codes and perform software updates or resets as needed.
  • Help facilitate the movement of vehicles between our recondition operation and vendors who assist with our recon process at times.
  • Collaborate with the sales and purchasing teams to evaluate EV condition before acquisition or resale.
  • Maintain detailed records, using our shop management software.
  • Maintain a safe workspace.
  • Stay current with EV technology, emerging repair techniques, and manufacturer updates.
  • Assist with charging station troubleshooting and basic infrastructure maintenance as needed.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Can quickly learn how to use EV-focused technology.
  • Ability to quickly move around our operation, facilitating the flow of inventory.

Preferred:

  • Experience assessing battery state-of-health and understanding degradation factors.
  • Previous work in a dealership, reconditioning center, or EV-specific repair environment.
  • Familiarity with Tesla, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Bolt, Hyundai/Kia EV platforms.

Communication: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks, such as walking, standing, and lifting.

Driving Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by the company's motor vehicle insurance carrier. Willingness to submit a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for review is required.
