Description

The Intel Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a cleared Aeronautical Information Specialist.  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the DoW Aeronautical Safety of Navigation mission. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Support the digital coding of terminal instrument procedures within NGA’s Aeronautical production environment. 

  • Analyze foreign terminal instrument procedure source information and transform those procedures into digital coding data using NGA documentation, workflows, instructions, production environment, and integrity checks.

  • Review aeronautical safety of navigation information and data for viability and accuracy.

Basic qualifications:

  • US citizenship is required per contract.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • At least two years of experience in an aviation field including but not limited to instrument rated pilot, navigator, flight engineer, TERPS specialist, aeronautical digital coding specialist, or air traffic controller.

  • Possess strong understanding of terminal instrument procedures.

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Possess effective communication skills and be able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.

  • Candidate must be able to multitask and deliver quality services within specified timelines. Candidate should work well as part of a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with NGA aeronautical products to include Flight Information Publications (FLIP) Terminals products.

  • Experience with FAA and foreign aeronautical source publications.
