ABOUT THE ROLEย 

The Logistics and Carrier Support Analyst will oversee the payables process within the logistics and supply chain operations of Amrize Cement Western Canada. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, optimizing the procure-to-pay cycle, and assisting with inventory control, process optimization, data analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Generate and manage purchase orders according to company policies.
  • Ensure accuracy of purchase orders, including product specifications, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Monitor purchase order status and track goods receipts for timely payment to vendors.
  • Streamline procure-to-pay processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate procurement processes with overall business objectives.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's Degree.
Field of Study Preferred: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.ย 
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics, preferably in manufacturing or distribution. Contain a strong understanding of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and supplier management.ย 
Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning, Microsoft Suite, and Google.ย 
Travel Requirements: 10%

  • Communicates and coordinates with Transportation Managers, Financial Managers, Performance Analysts, Sales Representatives, and District Sales Managers.
  • Coordinates with Amrize Cement Customer Value Center on freight-related matters.
  • Collaborates with Terminal and Plant staff on freight-related issues and remedies.
  • Coordinate with terminal operations staff to verify receipt of goods and services level agreements before authorizing paymentย 
  • Track and manage vendor contracts, renewal dates and service level agreements to ensure terminal operations are not interrupted.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
