Martin Transportation Systems is a solid and stable automotive niche carrier with a success story of over 30 years. Martin Transportation Systems, is seeking a highly qualified Terminal Manager located in Grand Prairie, TX. Duties are to manage, oversee, and direct the operations of Terminal location for maximum efficiency. Supervises a dispatch staff of four and 120 - 150 drivers. Resolve logistical problems such as forecasting equipment and driver needs to meet customer pick up and delivery requirements. Train and supervise all drivers. Interview, screen, hire, and orient new drivers. Emphasize, and promote safe operation of equipment.

Candidates need possess excellent communications and computer skills (satellite tracking & TMW dispatch software), be multi-task oriented, and enjoy a fast pacedwork environment. Associates or Bachelors degree in BusinessAdministration or Supply Chain Mgmt preferred. MTS offers ahighly competitive salary & benefits package with an excellent working environment.

Terminal Manager Essential Functions:
  • Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance to HOS regulations and company policy
  • Assist drivers and with Hours of Service and eLog issues.
  • Assist in the driver orientation process
  • Interface with central dispatch
  • Promote driver safety and safe work place performance
  • Monitor service to customers
  • Handle driver discipline
  • Interface with maintenance on equipment issues
Terminal Manager
  • Monday through Friday - Days
  • Some weekends possible
  • Preference given for experience in a trucking environment as a terminal manager but will also consider someone with experienceas a driver, dispatcher, route planner or maintenance manager
  • Candidates must possess excellent communications and computer skills be multitask oriented
  • Familiarity with US HOS Regulations
  • Transportation safety experience helpful
