Job description

CT Technologist: 

●       About Facility: 10628 Park Rd. Charlotte, NC 28210

o   Total licensed beds are 373 (344 Acute & 29 Inpatient Rehab)

▪        ED = 30 beds

▪        ICU = 46 beds

▪        PCU = 40 beds

▪        Observation = 70 beds

▪        OR Suites = 14

o   No trauma designation

o   We offer X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support.

o   TJC Stroke accredited

o   Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

●       Department Information:

o   Average Inpatient Census is around 400

o   We perform an average of 130 studies/day, more during the week, less on weekends.

o   Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years

o   Will you accept a first-time traveler? yes

●       Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

o   ED, Inpatient units, Observation units, and Outpatient

o   Department will provide CT guided invasive procedures.

o   Department performs cases with Anesthesia as needed

o   Department will perform Cardiac CT imaging on day shift, 7 days/week.

●       Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

o   ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT.

o   BLS

●       Skills required:

o   Start peripheral IV’s

o   Venous and arterial phase scanning

o   Multi-phase scanning

o   Stroke imaging, to include Perfusion

o   Colorectal studies

o   TeraRecon knowledge preferred, not required

●       Support within the Department:

o   Guest Services/Trasport for Inpatient & Obs patients

●       Technology/Equipment:

o   EMR: EPIC

o   RIS: Epic Radiant

o   PACS: Philips iSite

o   Department specific Equipment:

▪        3 CT scanners (Siemens Definition – AS 40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge +)

▪        Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors

●       Floating: If yes, where?

o   No

●       Orientation (facility and unit):

o   Administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review, etc.) – 1 day

o   2 days to 1 week departmental (as needed)

●       Scheduling:

o   On call? Yes, 2-3 shifts/month

o   Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

o   RTO: Resource Team approval
