Job description

Title: Teradata Application DBA

Location: Lansing, Michigan.

Hybird Schedule: Onsite: Wed/Thur and Remote: Mon/Tue/Fri

Required Skills

8+ years' experience with Teradata V17+

5+ years' experience in ETL using awk and Shell Scripting in a Unix/Linux environment

5+ years' experience with experience with Teradata Utilities (TPT, Mload, Fastload, BTEQ, etc.)

3-5+ years' experience with performance tuning within a Teradata environment (SQL Joins, Indexes, Viewpoint, Explains)

3-5+ years' experience in loading data from multiple source systems

3-5+ years' experience SQL Skills that include working with joins, indexes, partitions at table level and performance tuning skillsets

1+ years' experience with BI reporting tool along with basic modelling operations and maintenance issues.

Experience working with end users/customers to understand system and business issues and perform technical analysis to develop solutions

Ability to provide targeted training and technical guidance to development teams for troubleshooting and batch support

Must be able to work independently and not rely on team members

Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisor, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector.

Recognize, gather, correlate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and devise solutions and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations.

Preferred but not Required Skills

Certified Teradata Master

Experience maintaining Dashboards and other basic reports related to data warehouse on a daily basis.

Experience with Teradata Studio/Teradata SQL Assistant

Experience with cloud based BI tools/Data Warehouse implementations

Previous experience with State Government
