Bachelors or master's in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake Administration (AWS preferred but Azure is okay too) 5+ Years of hand on DBA experience with MPP systems and large Data warehouses 5+ years of scripting and automation experience using Shell / Perl / Python Proficiency in Snowflake platform Architecture, function/feature Understanding User/Data/Network Security Awareness of DB Optimization techniques pertinent to Snowflake Monitoring, alerting of the Snowflake platform Understanding of data ingress & egress patterns between Snowflake & different CSPs Proficiency in SQL and Procedural languages of any major RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Postgres or SQL Server Participating in on-call rotation & production support Working experience on MPP systems like - Netezza, Teradata, Greenplum, Hadoop etc. Working experience and good understanding of big data eco systems like Hadoop The Expertise and Skills You Bring Your ability to support multiple RDBMS like Postgres, Snowflake, SQL server, DB2 & Netezza in addition to Oracle You bring 5+ years of SQL & PL/SQL experience or other Database programming languages Your able to participate in DB design discussions and offer consulting services to Business and Data modelers. Your able to participate in Logical/Physical design discussions with Architects and Application teams.

You bring the competencies and Architectures related to High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity. You bring the experience in backend programming languages like PL/SQL, T-SQL, NZ SQL etc. You have scripting experience with Unix shell, Python, Perl, C, You are familiar with Java, J2EE, Embedded SQL, Forms, Reports, etc.

You are able to support other RDBMS like Postgres, Snowflake, SQL server, DB2 & Netezza Your able bring Application experts and other infrastructure teams together for finding optimal solutions to issues related to capacity, security, performance The Senior DBA will be expected to be an Oracle technical expert in database domain. Skills (effective communication, able to work with teams, presentation skills) required for the role. This is a contract position.
