The main difference between Tenth Pass and Junior Clerk lies in the job roles. Tenth Pass typically refers to candidates who have completed their 10th grade and are eligible for basic administrative or support roles. Junior Clerk positions often require the same educational qualification but may also demand basic computer skills and typing proficiency. Both roles are common in government offices and involve clerical work, but Junior Clerk positions usually have additional skill requirements and responsibilities.

What jobs can I get after completing tenth pass?

A 'Tenth Pass' refers to someone who has completed their 10th grade or secondary school education, typically through a recognized board like CBSE, ICSE, or a state board in India. With a Tenth Pass qualification, you can apply for entry-level jobs such as clerical roles, data entry, peon, office assistant, delivery staff, security guard, or various government and railway jobs that require a minimum qualification of 10th grade. Many apprenticeships and vocational training programs also accept candidates who have completed their 10th standard. It's a foundational level that opens the door for further studies or immediate employment in basic roles.

What skills and qualifications are needed to succeed as a tenth pass graduate?

To thrive in entry-level roles as a Tenth Pass graduate, you typically need basic literacy, numeracy, and a secondary school completion certificate. Familiarity with office tools such as MS Office, email, or point-of-sale systems may be required depending on the job. Strong work ethic, reliability, and effective communication are essential soft skills that help you stand out. These skills and qualifications ensure you can perform foundational tasks accurately, adapt to workplace expectations, and contribute positively to team goals.

What are the daily responsibilities in entry-level jobs for tenth pass candidates?

With a Tenth Pass qualification, job seekers often find entry-level roles such as office assistants, data entry operators, retail associates, delivery personnel, or roles in manufacturing and hospitality. Daily responsibilities typically include basic administrative tasks, assisting senior staff, handling documentation, or providing customer service. These roles generally offer structured training and guidance, making them suitable for those new to the workforce. Over time, consistent performance in these positions can open up opportunities for promotions or specialized training programs.

Job description

Description

Location: PASS Program at Englewood High School; Englewood, CO

Who We Are

Zero Dropouts is dedicated to designing innovative student development opportunities in collaboration with school districts, communities, and students. Our mission is to co-create solutions that recognize, foster, and unleash students' unrealized potential so that their lives are transformed as they thrive in their education and work.

PASS ย is a credit recovery and GED preparation program embedded within Englewood High School, serving students from EHS and Colorado's Finest High School of Choice. Students work toward graduation or a GED on a pathway that fits their life, in close partnership with PASS teachers, school counselors, and administrators who are deeply committed to each student's success.ย

What We Believe

Our foundational beliefs guide every aspect of our work:

We Believe Mysteries are Opportunities

We are inspired to solve the deeply complex mysteries that face our world. Our innovative approach drives us to uncover hidden truths and create tailored solutions that address the unique challenges of our clients and communities.

We Believe in Anti-Deficit Ideology

Anti-deficit ideology is an approach that focuses on recognizing and valuing the strengths, abilities, and potential of individuals and communities, rather than highlighting their shortcomings or deficiencies.

We Believe in a Sociocultural Model for Learning

Students develop knowledge and skills through an active learning process that encourages interactions with teachers, peers, and their communities. Educators meet students where they are in their learning journeys, centering student experiences and identities in the process to foster both independent learning and collaboration.

We Believe in a 'Power With' Approach to Relationships

We use a 'power with' approach that emphasizes collaboration, mutual support, and collective empowerment in our relationships with youth, partners, and each other. Instead of hierarchical or competitive dynamics, it focuses on sharing power, fostering partnerships, and working together to achieve common goals

We Believe Organizations are Living Systems

We believe that organizations and groups operate as dynamic living systems. This perspective emphasizes interdependence and collaboration, fostering resilience and adaptability. By nurturing supportive relationships and collective growth, we create conditions and environments where all members can thrive.

Who We're Looking For

ZD seeks a Licensed Teacher (7-12) who brings active, responsive instruction to credit recovery and GED preparation-someone who delivers lessons, builds relationships, and moves students forward. We're looking for someone who will take initiative, dig into why students faced setbacks, and create conditions that prevent those challenges from recurring. If you are driven by a commitment to empowering students and equipping them with the skills, resilience, and self-confidence they need to succeed in academics and beyond, this role is for you.

Who You Are

You are a proactive educator who is passionate about creating pathways for student success. Beyond delivering curriculum, you identify the underlying challenges students face and design interventions that build genuine growth and self-efficacy. You are comfortable working in the moment-reading the room, responding to what students need that day, and teaching effectively without a script. You believe in hands-on involvement and are eager to build a classroom where students gain confidence and develop the skills to thrive. Your strength lies in recognizing individual potential and helping each student build the foundation they need to move forward.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Instruction

  • Develop and adjust individualized learning plans in response to student progress, barriers, and needs.
  • Serve as the teacher of record for credit recovery courses
  • Facilitate tutoring and small-group instruction to supplement computer-based lessons aligned to student needs.
  • Facilitate SEL and executive functioning lessons and activities with 9th and 10th grade students to build academic strategies and prevent future course failure.
  • Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters collaboration, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging.

Student Support & Advocacy

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and resources, promoting student achievement and growth.
  • Advocate for student needs within the school, securing resources and accommodations to enhance equity and inclusion.
  • Conduct outreach to students and families to support engagement and attendance, fostering trusting, supportive relationships.
  • Build partnerships with local educational and community organizations, contributing to a sustainable support ecosystem.

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Track and monitor student progress, using assessment data to make programmatic adjustments and inform interventions.
  • Maintain accurate student records on attendance, performance, and other metrics to measure program impact.
  • Collaborate on data collection for grant objectives, contributing qualitative and quantitative insights.

Professional Development

  • Engage in professional development with ZD and Englewood High School staff to enhance instructional practices and stay current on credit recovery, GED preparation, and best practices for student support.
  • Actively contribute to team learning and growth, staying informed on trends in education.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Engage with colleagues, students, and stakeholders across communication platforms (Outlook, Teams, Google Workspace, Coda, etc.) to maintain alignment and share evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and sustain district and community partnerships, enhancing opportunities for student success.
  • Participate in ZD and Englewood High School meetings, team-building, and professional growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate on Zero Dropouts design teams for program and product development as needed.
  • Work to maintain a living systems approach that supports the building and sustaining of interdependence within the organization.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Flexibly contribute to the organization's overall mission and support additional projects.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Colorado Teaching License (7-12)
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft applications
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Expertise in building rapport across diverse backgrounds, cultural competence, and adapting communication for various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated dedication to equity, inclusivity, and social justice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spanish proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Colorado Teaching License with an endorsement in Science (7-12).
  • Background in working with youth in alternative educational or community-based settings, such as credit recovery programs, GED preparation, and wrap-around services.
  • Familiarity with the Englewood community, potential partnerships, and available resources
  • Experience using educational platforms: Edgenuity and Infinite Campus,
  • Experience working with IEPs, 504s, and ELD populations.

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position following the Englewood High School bell schedule during the school year. ZD employees work year-round, with flexibility for partner school academic breaks.
