Basic Function: Supports the resort’s tennis program through leading tennis clinics and giving lessons.  Provide resort guests and owners with direction and information regarding the tennis and activity department and other services. Maintain a motivational, welcoming, clean, and relaxed atmosphere for all who utilize the tennis and related facilities 

Work Performed:

  1. Provide professional, friendly and welcoming demeanor and provide superior guest service
  2. Enforce tennis rules and etiquette governing the use of tennis courts, tennis equipment and resort property
  3. Provide competent tennis instruction for all level of players including children via tennis lessons and daily tennis clinics
  4. Effectively communicate with and motivate large groups
  5. Efficiently schedule all resort guests and owners for tennis and activities
  6. Process all cash, credit and charges incurred in tennis and activities center
  7. Inspect tennis facilities daily and ensures they are safe for play, and take appropriate action as needed to ensure playing safety
  8. Assist guests in any manner required including but not limited to croquet, bocce ball, ping-pong instruction, merchandise sales, mountain biking and hiking inquires
  9. Relieve Activities Center staff for breaks and assist guests when busy with hiking or biking queries
  10. Keep all activities areas and facilities clean and organized with cooperation of all tennis pros and grounds crew
  11. Make out tennis court schedule, blocking out times for groups, reserved spaces, social events and activities
  12. Answer phones and questions regarding court times, facilities and costs
  13. Promote and sell all specials and promotions ongoing through the resort
  14. Ensure tennis supplies are maintained and place order with Tennis Supervisor as appropriate
  15. Maintain safe and clean equipment and ensure fixed in timely manner through Tennis Supervisor or Activities Manager
  16. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

USPTA or USPTR certification and NTRP 4.5 level or above rated player. High school diploma or equivalent.  Retail knowledge helpful.  2+ years resort customer service experience preferred.  Must possess a vast knowledge of the resort and local community.  Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease.  Computer skills required.  Strong team member relations. Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification. Must be in excellent physical health with the ability to play tennis consistently without long breaks.  Safety sensitive position.
