Job description

Augusta Country Clubis a privately owned club with golf, tennis, fitness, and swim facilities in Augusta, GA. We are currently seeking Tennis counselors and Tennis pro shop staff that can create a positive, memorable experience for members and their guests. The ideal candidates will be customer service oriented, attentive, polite, courteous and able to interact with members in a professional manner. Dependability is a must.

Job Summary

Assist the Camp director in tennis and pickleball activities during the summer camps from May 26-July 3rd. Assist the pro shop manager in the Tennis pro shop with court assignment, answering the phone, restocking the fridge and providing member support as needed, including playing tennis and or pickleball.

Job Tasks/Duties

Follow routine court set up with tennis hoppers and activities prior and after camp.

Teach, supervise and observe children during camp hours to ensure their safety.

Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of pro shop desk and common areas.

Assist pro shop manager with tasks such as answering the phone, booking courts, restocking snacks and drinks.

Enforces rules of conduct at tennis facilities.

Checks first aid supplies in pro shop and reports needed items.

Attends all meetings as directed by the Camp director, Director of Tennis and or Pro Shop manager.

Informs managers about unresolved member or guest disruptions that could cause a safety problem.

Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Tennis management staff.

Licenses and Special Requirements

Must have current with Safe Play and or ACC safety procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach, walk, stand, stoop, climb stairs, balance and/or crouch.

Continuous repetitive motions.

Physical exertion over long periods of time

Work in hot and humid environment.

Able to work in a busy, noisy environment.

Able to control children's behavior and maintain their safety at all times.
