Landscapes Golf Management and River Run Country Club are seeking a Part Time Tennis Assistant to help in our Tennis Shop. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the Tennis Shop and provide excellent customer service to our members and guests. Shifts will primarily consist of weekends from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and some weekday evening shifts from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for attending to the tennis needs of the club members and guests. This includes reserving tennis court times, recording all charge tickets and maintaining cleanliness of courts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  1. Assists members and guests in reserving tennis courts, clinics and lesson times and enforcing reservation policies.
  2. Assist customers with purchases and merchandise questions, cash out members/customers, monitor the front counter and assist with maintaining inventory in the tennis shop where applicable.
  3. Monitor tennis courts to ensure that all players are playing on assigned courts.
  4. Fills water coolers and empties garbage cans periodically throughout shift.
  5. Performs light to moderate maintenance of tennis courts, such as, operating an electric cart on clay courts, squeegee and sweep asphalt courts, check nets and tie down windscreens, etc.
  6. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
  7. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
  8. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  2. Basic understanding of the rules and game play of tennis or willingness to learn

EDUCATION AND EXPERIANCE
  1. Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age
  2. Previous customer service experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0-24%
  • Standing and walking 25-50%
  • Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 0-24%
  • Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing and driving 50-100%
  • Lift in excess of 50 pounds 0-24%
