Job description

Schedule: Wednesday 1pm - 7pm Thursday - Saturday 7am - 7pm  OFF: Sunday - Tuesday 

The Tennis Court Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the Clay Court Tennis Facility at an Ultra Luxury Residential Condo Association. They greet members and guests in a friendly and courteous manner while making sure the courts are clean and organized and in great playing condition while ensuring safe play on the courts.

Job Duties and Essential Functions

•       Greets all members and their guests, maintaining the highest quality of customer service

•       Develop positive relationships with members, offering guidance and answering questions about the tennis operations

•       Maintains the tennis courts and equipment in proper condition by performing daily duties including cleaning and sweeping playing surfaces, ensuring adequate supply of sweat towels, balls and rackets, and ball picking

•       Report all maintenance items which include, but is not limited to, burned out lights, broken property or equipment to the Property Operations Manager

•       Ensure all work areas are neat, clean, and free of trash, debris, and waste

•       Observes and enforces all rules, regulations, and procedures of the facility and report violations to the Property Operations Manager

•       Performs other related duties as needed

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in a related position and knowledge of how to take proper care of Clay Tennis Courts.
  • Ability and experience to use machinery & Tools for Clay Courts, like Har-Tru rollers and Har Tru Stainless Steel Bristle Drag Brush-TOW equipment
  • Great customer service skills and experience interacting with residents and guests or customers
  • Preferred Education and Experience; a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

Physical Conditions

This position will be primarily outdoors; exposed to outdoor weather conditions; primarily heat and occasional cold weather.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to exercise, move, jump, stand and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type

This is non-exempt position (hourly). Days and hours of work are determined at the property to satisfy the needs of the community. 

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
