What is tender preparation?

Tender preparation is the process of creating and submitting a detailed proposal to compete for a contract, often involving reviewing requirements, compiling documentation, and ensuring compliance with submission guidelines. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of procurement procedures. Successful tender preparation increases the chances of winning contracts in sectors like construction, government, and manufacturing.

What are the three types of tendering?

In tender preparation, the three main types of tendering are open tendering, selective tendering, and negotiated tendering. Open tendering involves inviting bids from all interested parties, while selective tendering restricts bids to pre-qualified suppliers. Negotiated tendering involves direct negotiations with a selected supplier, often used for specialized or urgent projects.
