Job Summary:
Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a forward-thinking and analytically driven Business Enablement Specialist to join our team in Omaha, NE. The Specialist plays a key role in advancing the Business Optimization & Innovation team's mission to drive process improvement and operational excellence across the organization. This role identifies inefficiencies, develops creative solutions, and supports change initiatives that leverage Tenaska's proprietary system, PowerTools Platform (PTP), to deliver measurable results and create competitive advantage.
Serving as a PTP Specialist, this position plays a critical role in the implementation of the platform, helping transform front-, mid-, and back-office processes while driving efficiency, enhancing user experience, and enabling more effective ways of working across the business.
This is a high-impact opportunity to partner closely with stakeholders, influence how work gets done, and play a hands-on role in bringing innovative solutions to life.
Location: Onsite in Omaha, NE
Essential Job Functions:
  • Leverage PTP functionality to drive process improvements across front-, mid-, and back-office operations
  • Support initiatives across the full project lifecycle-from ideation through implementation, ensuring clear requirements, thoughtful evaluation of operational risks and business value, and timely delivery
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and pain points, translating them into effective system-based solutions
  • Drive user adoption of PTP by providing exceptional support and fostering a positive end-user experience
  • Enable users by building skills, confidence, and long-term proficiency in PTP
  • Test and validate upcoming product releases to ensure smooth, effective deployment
  • Document processes, solutions, and key decisions to support clarity, consistency, and scalability
  • Immerse yourself in the business to develop a deep understanding of operations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
  • Existing PTP experience or a high commitment and motivation to be trained in PTP. Training would require extensive travel to Irving, TX in the initial 6-9 months of employment.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of business processes and organizational landscape
  • Experience in business intelligence, fintech, operational analytics, and/or predictive analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), SharePoint, and TMV's Gas Management System (GMS)
  • Experience with energy commodities, trading practices, supply chain logistics, and/or financial derivatives and options
  • Experience with object-oriented coding languages
  • Progressive, creative problem solver with a forward-thinking mindset
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups and organizational levels
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to teach, mentor, and develop others
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
