JOB SUMMARY
TheRackets Coordinatorsupports student engagement, recruitment, and retention through sports-based youth development programming, school partnerships, and family collaboration. This role coordinates tennis and enrichment activities, tracks student performance data, and fosters a positive, high-achieving environment that promotes academic success, physical wellness, and sustained participation in Tenacity programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tennis & Rackets Programming
- Plan and lead tennis andracketsactivities withfor students.
- Evaluate the fitness needs of students and design programming to support students' fitness and health.
- Engage with other tennis staff across Tenacity to create and implement a consistent curriculum.
- Supervise Team Tennis events and ensure that a wide range of studentsparticipatein friendlycompetition.
Student Recruitment & Retention
- Help recruit, select, and register middle school students for theACEprogram.
- Implement creative strategies tomaintainhigh student retention and attention rates.
- Use elementary tennis programming as a pipeline for recruiting students into Tenacitys summer and school-year programs.
School & Family Partnerships
- Build andmaintainrelationships with principals, teachers, and parents to support student success and addressstudentneeds.
- Participate in school meetings, particularly those relatedtophysicaleducation, specialty classes, and after-school programming.
- Support family engagement initiatives and collaborate across program areas as needed.
ProgramCoordination & Operations
- Support site teammates andassistwith overall program operations.
- Ensure compliance with all program requirements and school partnership agreements.
- Schedule and implement elementary tennis programming at feeder schools.
- Participateinplanning, training, and implementation of Tenacitys Summer Tennis and Reading Program (STRP)while serving in a leadership role.
- Attend and support occasional fundraising, marketing, and community events during evenings or weekends.
Data Collection & Performance Tracking
- Collect, organize, and compile fitness and tennis data ina timelymanner.
- Foster a culture of high achievement in fitness and tennis performance measures.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience implementing youth tennis programming, preferably inalargegroup setting.
- Passionworkingwith kids in a sports-based youth development program.
- Previousexperience working with urban, multi-cultural constituents.
- Previousexperience as a coach or mentor.
- Behavior management experience.
- Strong interpersonal, team development, management, organizational,andcommunicationsskills.
- Proficiencyin verbal and written communication, Microsoft Word,andExcel.
- Bilingual in Spanish,a plus.
- Drivers License Required.
- Owning a car is a significant plus.
- Creativity, high energy, sense of humor and willingness to go the extra mile.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary Range:$50,000-$58,000annually(based on experience)
