Buyer Assistant

Shift: M-F 1st Shift 7:30am-4:00pm (30-minute lunch)

Notes:

  • HS Diploma or GED required, AS degree preferred
  • Temp position to support purchasing function in Granville while new PPS Purchasing Department is implemented.
  • Background, no drug test

Qualifications:

  • Minimum qualifications: High school diploma with relevant experience in purchasing, sourcing or supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage purchase orders in QAD, including converting requisitions into POs, routing for approval, and sending orders to suppliers.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and supplier deliveries, identify late shipments, track orders, and communicate updates to planners and the Materials Manager.
  • Review and process supplier order confirmations, verifying pricing, quantities, and delivery dates, and updating PO status tracking tools.
  • Maintain purchasing records and support the procure-to-pay process, including resolving invoice discrepancies in Medius and maintaining supplier pricing updates.
  • Support supplier administration and purchasing operations, including vendor setup requests, pricing updates, and preparation of reports for supply chain meetings.
