What We Seek... 

The Director of Quality & Fabrication Standards will establish, lead, and continuously advance the quality framework across design, engineering, fabrication, finishing, and installation. This role is accountable for ensuring every build meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and client expectations - from concept through final execution.

This leader will implement world-class quality systems while strengthening a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. In a world-class event fabrication environment, quality is not inspection at the end - it is engineered into every stage of the project. 


 Job Summary and Job Functions 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to event fabrication and experiential builds
  • Establish fabrication standards, SOPs, inspection protocols, and documentation systems
  • Define measurable quality KPIs across departments
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Create and maintain build standards for wood, metal, scenic finishes, electrical integration, and specialty fabrication
  • Standardize engineering review and structural verification processes
  • Oversee tolerance specifications, finishing criteria, and durability standards
  • Partner with Creative and Engineering to ensure design intent translates into build excellence
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, fire regulations, and venue requirements
  • Oversee structural signoffs and risk assessments for temporary and touring installations
  • Collaborating with Production, Engineering, Project Management, and Installation teams 
  • Lead internal quality audits and readiness reviews before major installs
  • Analyze defects, rework, and warranty issues to reduce cost of poor quality
  • Drive production floor improvements to increase consistency and reduce variability
  • Implement a digital tracking system for inspection and documentation
  • Serve as executive quality authority during client audits or escalations
  • Ensure all builds reflect the company's premium positioning
  • Protect brand reputation through proactive risk mitigation

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or production environments
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Engineering or technical degree
  • Deep knowledge of structural fabrication, scenic production, or custom builds
  • Experience implementing Quality Management Systems
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and safety compliance
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Experience in event fabrication, experiential marketing, or themed environments
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with temporary structures and touring installations
