Job description

Domtar, Menominee Operations is seeking a talented individual to join our team and will be accepting applications for an E&I TechnicianThis will be a day shift position.
We offer an exceptionally clean work environment and a strong commitment to safety, with nearly 16 years without a lost-time accident and almost 14 years without a recordable accident. The current hourly wage is $38.26, with opportunities for overtime available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment in support of all assets and equipment.
  • Performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve mill uptime/run ability, assemble and install new machinery and equipment and other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
  • Proficient in DCS troubleshooting.
  • Drive hardware and communications equipment troubleshooting and board level replacement.
  • Calibration and maintenance of all tagged field instrumentation.
  • Be able to troubleshoot field devices using technology such as Delta-V, Allen-Bradley PLC's.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid journeyman card, indicating successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. A journeyman's certification is preferred but we will consider equivalent experience without certifications.
  • A positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Solid computer skills and experience with electronic work orders.
  • Self-directed.
  • Excellent trouble shooting/problem solving skills.

Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
  • Available to work varying hours that may include shift, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to emergency call-ins.
  • Able to work both independently and as a part of the team.
  • Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Work in industrial conditions.
