As a valued member of our team, your efforts will contribute directly to enhancing the beauty and functionality of our local landscapes. Examples of Duties Under close supervision you Perform a variety of manual, unskilled duties of routine difficulty. Assist the roadside mowing team.
Operate a variety of landscape maintenance equipment. Perform weed control. Provide trash removal.
Clean ditches. Perform other work as requested. Minimum Qualifications Completion of eighth grade or equivalent, and Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Must be able to follow instructions and perform sustained physical labor, including heavy lifting and use of hand tools. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during normal working hours.
During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team. In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing. Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
