Job Description Seeks a Temporary Web Developer to build and maintain client-branded web properties for internal and external audiences. The role focuses on modern WordPress development, feature delivery, performance, and code quality. You will implement an AI-first workflow to improve development speed and reliability. This is a temporary assignment. Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance WordPress features using JavaScript and PHP. Create and modify custom WordPress plugins and themes, including fixes and updates. Translate stakeholder requirements into robust technical solutions. Improve responsiveness, optimize performance, and resolve technical issues. Conduct code reviews, write documentation, and follow secure coding standards. Adopt and advocate an AI-first development workflow with modern toolsets. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience delivering WordPress sites or applications with PHP and JavaScript. Hands-on experience building custom themes and plugins from scratch. Proficiency in HTML and CSS with knowledge of accessibility and maintainability best practices. Familiarity with WordPress architecture, including hooks, PHP APIs, the block editor, and REST API. Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments. Clear communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Skills: Experience with WordPress VIP tooling and workflows. Experience with performance optimization at scale and profiling tools. Experience with custom Gutenberg blocks and modern build tooling.
