BioWatch Field Technician (Short-Term Project)


Position Type:Temporary / Full-Time (6-Week Contract)

Compensation:$20.00 -$24.00/ hour

Start Date:Immediate / As soon as possible

Location:Field-based (Local driving required)City and surrounding area of Phoenix


Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Technician for an immediate 6-week project supporting local air monitoring operations.The primary responsibility is to ensure the precise, daily collection of BioWatch air filters and safely transport them to designated testing laboratories.This is a critical role that requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures, timeline punctuality, and accurate data documentation.



Key Responsibilities

  • Sample Collection:Visit assigned regional monitoring sites daily to collect BioWatch air filter samples according to strict federal and program guidelines.
  • Equipment Prep:Reset and configure air monitoring units for the next sampling cycle.
  • Chain of Custody:Maintain meticulous, error-free documentation and log sheets to preserve the integrity and chain of custody for all gathered samples.

  • Courier & Logistics: Transport and securely hand off collected filters to the testing laboratory within strict daily deadlines.
  • Site Care:Perform basic, minor site upkeep (e.g., clearing debris or reporting any equipment anomalies) to ensure unrestricted access to monitoring stations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Drivers License:Must possess a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle with an excellent driving record.
  • Background Clearance:Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive federal background check/suitability standard.
  • Reliability & Schedule:Exceptional punctuality and time management skills; comfortable adhering to a strict, non-negotiable daily schedule.
  • Physical Ability:Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, walking to outdoor site setups, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
