Political Canvasser
North Shore Strategies - Thornton, Greeley, and Commerce City / CO
Compensation: $25 per hour
Start Date / End Date: ASAP - 06/30/2026
Hours per Shift: 4
Classification: Temporary, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Organizing Director
North Shore Strategies is seeking motivated and professional Political Canvassers to support our grassroots field efforts acrossThornton, Greeley, and Commerce City, CO. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, outgoing communicator who is passionate about civic engagement and committed to promoting Democratic causes. Political Canvassers are on the front lines of our campaign operations, having direct conversations with voters to inform, persuade, and mobilize support for candidates and initiatives.
About the Role
As a Political Canvasser, you will play a critical role in the democratic process by engaging voters through face-to-face interactions. You will be responsible for delivering key campaign messages, collecting petition signatures when needed, and helping to build lasting support for Democratic candidates and progressive issues.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing.
  • Deliver persuasive and accurate messaging about candidates and ballot initiatives to educate and motivate voters.
  • Record daily data and submit detailed reports to the Organizing Director.
  • Consistently meet or exceed outreach and engagement goals.
  • Represent North Shore Strategies with professionalism and integrity in all public interactions.
  • Attend required trainings and team meetings to stay aligned with campaign strategy and talking points.
  • Foster positive connections with voters to promote long-term community trust and campaign visibility.

Qualifications
  • Able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a comfort level with engaging strangers.
  • Reliable, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and in team settings.
  • Willing and able to canvass outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in canvassing, sales, customer service, or community organizing is a plus but not required.
  • Strong belief in progressive values and civic participation.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and achieving performance targets.
