Job Summary:
QDStaff is a leading talent source for award-winning video game companies, and they are seeking an HTML5 Mobile Game Developer to join a fast-growing game development company in Boca Raton, Florida. The role involves developing code for browser-based HTML5 online casino gaming applications and collaborating with the product development team to create engaging game content.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop code for browser-based HTML5 (Typescript/Javascript) online casino gaming applications.
โ€ข Design game engine extensions and custom user interface code to accommodate new features and functionality.
โ€ข Work with game design to implement visual and audio assets, set up complex animation systems and tune game event timing.
โ€ข Implement and verify the functionality of underlying math framework; ensure regulatory compliance for all behaviors and game states.
โ€ข Ensure solid device-independent stability with consistent behaviors across all platforms and layouts.
โ€ข Contribute to common code libraries, perform code reviews and participate in establishing functional requirements for new engine features and components.
โ€ข Participate actively with all members of the product development team to develop game designs into published online content.
โ€ข Demonstrate exceptional ability to adopt new tools, techniques and procedures in a challenging and rapidly evolving business sector.
โ€ข Work within and around application limitations to develop compelling and polished game content.  Contribute to technical and creative problem-solving sessions.
โ€ข Accurately estimate the time required to complete tasks, manage time effectively and meet all project deadlines while delivering consistently high-quality, error-free code that adheres to defined coding standards.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Degree or diploma in software development or proven success as a senior software engineer in a national/global gaming company.
โ€ข 3+ years professional experience in software development with multiple shipped titles / projects/ products.
โ€ข Solid development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, XML, JSON, CSS3, SQL, UML and OOP.
โ€ข Proficient in and passionate about object-oriented programming and the application of OO patterns.
โ€ข Effective technical leader with the ability to assist with project scheduling.
โ€ข Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
โ€ข Excellent working knowledge in use of development frameworks, libraries and agile methodologies.
โ€ข Proficiency Unit Testing and Automation a plus.
โ€ข Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to document technical requirements.
