Job Summary – Senior Front End Developer

- Position: Senior Front End Developer (Onsite, Direct Hire)
- Location: Fort Meade, MD 20755 (US citizens, locals only)
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
- Industry: IT, Computers, High Tech (DoD/Intelligence Community focus)
- Experience Required:
- 10+ years software development experience (object-oriented & scripted languages)
- 5+ years recent front-end web design and development
- 5+ years with bug tracking (Jira), testing web apps, and leading dev projects
- Experience with Agile Test-Driven development and DevSecOps tool suites
- Experience developing in cloud environments, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Experience with at least 5: Apache, Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node
- Education: Bachelor’s in related field (Master’s may substitute for 2 years’ experience)
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise to support process improvement and define requirements
- Analyze, plan, and document functional requirements, models, and procedures
- Perform engineering tasks for front-end design, including technical drawings, mockups, wireframes
- Design, construct, and optimize UI elements & system navigation for usability
- Plan/implement GUI modifications to enhance operator/user experience
- Facilitate user-facing feature development ensuring UI/UX best practices
- Prepare, conduct, and document system tests to verify operability/compliance
- Desired Skills:
- Experience with UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision)
- Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
- 5+ years CI/CD software development experience
- Work Environment:
- Full-time, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, onsite at Fort Meade
