Job description

Description

The client is looking for a System Test Technician contractor that will assist with operations in our internal Data Lab. This individual will guide the field testing and collect the test results to internally validate current software models for our future fitness products and will support the installation and verification of this software. This individual will closely work with our Fitness Subject Matter Expert in our Data Lab as well as our wider Data Operations team and AI/Computer Vision team to ensure that our field-testing protocols work smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Installing software and model build updates on Peloton testing devices

• Managing software system validation and testing

• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting common issues and bugs

• Guiding test participants to perform tests

• Recording and aggregating test results

• Improving the data collection practice and protocol in the Data Lab as see fits

• Participate in testing and data collection

Typical Day in the Role

• Create and execute test plans

• Perform assigned physical activities (e.g., exercises or movement routines)

• Install and configure test APKs

• Collect and document data, including metrics and user experience feedback (e.g., comfort, accuracy, usability)

• Submit results and feedback to the team for analysis

• Repeat testing cycles as needed based on updated plans or iterations

• Independent, hands-on testing environment with a focus on physical activity

• Mostly solo testing and with occasional working with additional participants when there’s high amount of testing needed. May involve recruiting the participants.

• The team operates within the FitLab environment

• The team consists of the direct manager and you.

• Fully onsite role

Performance Indicators

• Regular weekly 1:1 check-ins to review progress and discuss priorities

• Ongoing tracking of completed tasks and deliverables

• Informal but consistent performance feedback to support continuous improvement

• Ability to maintain accountability and ownership of assigned work
