UX/UI Designer job at Solomon Page . New York, NY. Our client, a well-known financial institution in NYC, is looking for a UX/UI Designer with a strong background in brand systems for a long-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining cohesive and visually compelling user experiences across various digital platforms, including websites, the company intranet, and email communications. Your expertise in brand systems will be crucial in ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand identity, while your design skills will help elevate user engagement and satisfaction.

This is a hybrid position and requires 2-days/week onsite in Downtown Manhattan and 3-days/week working remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement intuitive, visually appealing, and consistent user interfaces across websites, intranet platforms, and email templates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, content creators, and marketing professionals, to ensure design solutions meet business objectives and user needs.
  • Maintain and evolve the company’s brand system, ensuring all digital assets adhere to established guidelines and convey a cohesive brand identity.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
  • Participate in client meetings and workshops, particularly with financial industry clients, to understand their needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes and deliver cutting‑edge solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior designers, helping to cultivate a collaborative and creative team environment.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong focus on brand systems.
  • Proven experience designing for websites, intranets, and email platforms.
  • Prior experience working with clients in the financial industry is a significant advantage.
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
